CapWIN offers training every month. Scheduled dates are listed on the event calendar. If the scheduled dates are not convenient or additional dates are required feel free to contact Alan Lee at alee@capwin.org.
Description:
The CapWIN V2 Mobile Client course is designed for all users of the CapWIN System, both sworn and non-sworn. This is the main basic course recommended for all CapWIN Users connecting on a laptop or desktop computer.
This hands-on course will present students the general knowledge and skills needed to actively use the CapWIN System and its complete functionality.
This course includes training the CapWIN Query functionality (WALES / VCIN / MILES) for Users with approved CJIS access.
Goals:
Obtain a general understanding of CapWIN and its purpose and uses.
Obtain general knowledge of the CapWIN System and functionality.
Requirements:
Students are expected to have basic knowledge in the use of computers.
Admission:
Each agency that uses the CapWIN System has assigned a Point of Contact or Agency Administrator. To help insure Agency Administrators maintain control of the deployment of CapWIN within their agency, all training requests must be submitted through the designated Agency Administrators.
Agency Administrators should take the following steps when registering users for CapWIN Training.
Review the current CapWIN Training Calendar.
Email Alan Lee (alee@capwin.org) the dates and number of seats you would like to reserve.
If the seats are available, you will receive an email confirmation.
After receiving the confirmation, Agency Administrators should create the users accounts in the CapWIN System, and provide the print-out of the UserID, and Temporary Password, to the user to bring to class.
Fees:
Standard training is available at no additional cost, and is included with any user/access fee your agency is currently paying.
