CATT Lab Gets Inaugural Coverage

CNN News correspondent Jeanne Meserve featured Michael Pack, director of the CATT Lab in a story covering the upcoming Presidential Inauguration and the related traffic issues the Washington D.C. area faces with the numerous events planned. Pack discussed how software developed at the CATT Lab will assist federal and municipal agencies in the area monitor and control traffic.

The Center for Advanced Transportation Technology (CATT) in the A. James Clark School of Engineering Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, was created in order to respond to the significant changes brought about by increasing use of advanced technologies in the transportation field. A permanent staff of ITS professionals and affiliated faculty of the Department of Civil Engineering supports CATT.
